    Hi all !

I've got what appears to be an odd-fire V6 engine. It's in an old kit-car though, and has been modified slightly. As such, I'm having difficulty narrowing down specifics about the engine.

I'm wanting to buy some replacement parts (standard stuff .. distributor cap, water-pump, etc..), but I know when I go to the auto-parts store they're going to ask "What make/model/year is your car?" If I can at least come up with the engine year / size, I should be ok. :)

The block casting shows : B1358435 . The letters "AD" are stamped (in smaller lettering) above the block number. "GM" is stamped vertically near one end of the block number, and "B 15" is stamped vertically on the other end.

From what I've read here, the "1358435" part means it's an odd-fire V6. I'm clueless on the rest of the numbers / letters.

The manifold was replaced with an Offenhauser-360, so I can't get any factory numbers from the manifold.

Anyway .. I'm looking to get some replacements parts for it (would love to find a higher-flow water pump!) , but with knowing as little as I do about it, I'm pretty stuck. :(

Can anyone offer any insight on this ?

Many thanks in advance for any help !!

I have looked around for an answer and found that your "1358435" means it was in the 64-67 year range. I can't find much on the "B" prefix. Hopefully that gives you somewhere to start. I found the info on Buickgod.com

    1358435 looks to me to be a 67-74 225 V6. http://www.earlycj5.com/tech/engines/225/castingNumbers.shtml

Any year Jeep with a V6 will get you the correct parts, just be sure to pay attention to whether you have a Prestolite (no window on the cap) or Delco (has a window to adjust the points) distributor.
