Where to plug in Temp Gauge Probe

    I have the I6 1977 Cj5 and i am not sure where the temperature probe needs to be plugged into the block.

    The 258 has a threaded hole for the temperature sending unit right beside the thermostat housing. You can also use one of the block drains on the left side of the block.

    Yup, if your wanting to put one of the aftermarket temp probes in youll havta use the drain hole on the side of the block. At least thats what i had to do. ooo Drivers side.

    X2, the aftermarket probe will not work where the factory sending unit is. Use the drain hole in the block.
