Ball Joints

    Well i got my new balljonits form my front axle. I dont have a balljoint press. I am wondering if they is another way of pressing them out, or just go get the tool?

    You can get them in and out with a hammer and punch, but the HF press is less likely to damage things. Even with the HF press, though, you'll need to make or find an adapter to get the joints back in, or buy their expensive adapter kit.

    I just got to looking at the balljoint setup. I believe i can just use my press to get the ball joints out. Is this something somebody has done?

    Parts stores like Auto Zone will loan you the tool for free. You have to pay a deposit but it is returned to you when you bring the tool back. RC...
