Brand New HEI available for odd-fires!!!!

Hey folks,

I don't know if this has been posted before but I just found out that Proform is making a brand new HEI for our beloved odd-fire V6's.
Summit is getting about $195 including shipping, Ebay has them for $218.

Let me tell you.....they make an awesome HEI.
I recently installed one on my brother's '74 CJ5's 304 and it made a WORLD of difference.
It comes with a brass terminal cap and rotor, a hotter coil and an excellent timing curve.

Like I said, I don't know if anyone has posted on this product before but I have to say I'm tickled to see they're available.
My 225 will get one the moment it's installed.

 

Wonder how it will stack up to CRT's.

We really thought long and hard about a DUI for the 304 but the price was astronomical.
Surprisingly, the Proform 304 distributor was made in the USA!!
For the price, we thought for sure it would have been some chinese thing.

First impressions were excellent (100% BRAND NEW, machining on the housing and the overall fit of components) as well as ease of installation (drop it in, one wire).

Sorry to ramble but thank goodness a company has stepped up to the plate for the odd-fire folks with a fair-priced, reliable, high-tech distributor.

hadn't seen the proform but i also got my reman'd oem for $70. had i seen an of proform while i was searching, i might have jumped at it.
