    well so far so good...

later box with o-ring type lines....
it fit the standard three bolt mount...

need to find PS pitman arm though... the XJ pitman arm has too much drop...

it seems like the manual coupling will fit....

If all else fails do it by yourself huh? Wagoneers had flat Pitman arms, should fit the box end but may be bigger on the drag link end. I noticed if you buy an aftermarket box they list the same part # for TJ, XJ, MJ, later 4x4 Chev Sonoma's, Dakotas and a few others. I put a 2002 Sonoma 4x4 box on my '97 TJ, and the steering got really stiff. Nice once you get used to it.

All the Saginaw boxes from Jeep have the same bolt pattern, though the manual boxes used 3 bolts and the power boxes 4. If the coupling matches, and the keyway for the pitman arm is in the same location, you should be able to do it.

first.... I will see about some images..... not much to show though... bare frame right now....

some of the other posts list the GM box from a blazer, etc... but the XJ is also a saginaw box...

this was a three bolt box, so it fit the 74 manual bracket... (hopefully no problem there...)

I have a 2.5 lift set up, with a 4.5, the XJ pitman arm would probably have been spot on...

will source a pitman arm trying for a PS version for a 74 cj first....

then at some point deal with the pressure and return lines.. long way away and a bunch of body work before that happens....

1975 cj5- that is good news to hear, I have suggested the RHD Cherokee box to a couple guys with RHD CJ6s, but couldn't verify anyone actually doing the swap.
