Does anyone have pics or mesurments for the cutting, welding and mounting of a modified early cj column for saginaw steering. Or is it easier (better) to just get a postal column.

I used a postal column. Give AAA Motors a call, www.postaljeepl.net . Last time I talked with them they wanted $125 for a complete column, including column, wheel and turn signal.

imho, the lenghten cut out is just a personal opinion. some people are taller than others, some perfer different distances from the wheel, and dish of steering wheel (fac. or aftermarket) all play a part. most use a postal column, have a friend give you some test fitments to get a length.
