Detroit EZ Locker is relatively the same as a Lock Right or an Aussie Locker. Lunchbox type, replaces the spider and side gears.

Easy to install, and very effective offroad. You'll be amazed at what you can climb after you install one of these!!
Transparent when the hubs are unlocked; when hubs are locked in it can sometimes be difficult to make a sharp low-speed turn, even with power steering. That's why many of us with single-stick D18s converted to twins, so we can disengage the front axle for some offroad maneuvers.

Expect severe understeer when locked in and turning on snow, ice or other slippery conditions.

I've been running Lockrights for quite a few years in my front (D30) & rear; love 'em... but I don't drive my rig in snow/ice conditions anymore.

Easy to install with minimal experience, works great, cheap price compared to a conventional locker. Go for it.

well, not too hard if you're comfortable removing carriers/ring gears/thrust washers/side&spider gears, roll pin (need a long punch, not tapered)... then assembling the locker (be careful of those little springs, they can launch themselves). Be sure to keep the carrier bearings clean, and do not grease them (use only gear oil). Be sure bearing caps go back in exactly the same orientation as you found them (right/left, top/bottom... mark them with a punch). I also always install the ring gear and bearing cap bolts in the same holes they came from... although that may not be necessary.

In a word, yes... if you're comfortable with the work I described. :)

Look into the No Slip by Powertrax. Same company that makes the Lokright but a much better locker.
It is the best drop in locker for the D30 hands down.
