Pretty much think its different by year and Jeep. My CJ-6 had 7 up front and 5 in the rear and my 5a had 11 in front and 9 in the rear.

from what I saw on the VIN data, it depends on the package.

Appeared to be several GVW configurations available.

My 66 has 11 rear and 9 front.

And the helpers that someone put on so they could plow with it.

does yours have some sort of device on the passenger side front axle, almost like a spring perch on top of the outside edge of the carrier facing rearward? If so, is it attached to a cast lug on the frame by a rubber mount? This one puzzles me....:?

Yep - and boy was that thing in the way when I changesd the knuckle seals. NOt sure I'm followin' you on the cast lug or rubber mount. As I recall, mine is welded to the axle housing, but I'll check when I get home.

Not attached to anything on the other end. It has a rubber bumper that mates to a stop on the frame behind the right front tire.

I have wondered what the purpose of this is since there is also an axle bump stop there as well.
