Where can I get a 3-finger pressure plate for my 67 V6 CJ5? I really do not want to use the diaphram (mult-finger) type pressure plate. In 92 I was still able to get a 3-finger pressure plate.

I'm curious as to why you don't want to use the diaphragm type.

Try a local rebuilder - ask for "Borg & Beck" type.

Perhaps place a WTB ad for one. When I asked the same question, another board member happened to have one. Good luck. :)

Post the results of your search. I'd like to shed my diaphram clutch cover. Borg and Beck has a much nicer feel. I just assumed you could only get diaphram style as that's all I've seen.

I'm still curious as to what is better about the Borg and Beck. All I've ever used is diaphragm type as well.

B&B is said to be stronger. When I was drag racing, B&B was the hot setup and diaphragm clutches were what was replaced. It is more rebuildable too, supposedly.
