    why dont my 52 m38a1 dont got no tail gate it just not made with one? its all solid all the way across. thanks,jared

    Mainly because its a m38a1, a military jeep. It takes more manufaturing time/money to create and install a tailgate, so most military jeeps didn't, as my understanding of it is.
