Well i am assembleing the jeep and given i do most of it myself. Got to installing the feners last night. and it can be a pain because at times you need 3 hands. I got to thinknig there could be an easier way. So the light bulb went on and i remeber that the bottom hole in the steel fenders is threaded, while the others are just open holes.

Well I cut the head of a bolt and threaded it in to the bottom hole, and used that to locate the bottom of the fenders, and it held it in position so i could get ther other bolts on. It worked very very nice. It is probably something otherrs have done, but i thoguht i would share.

Can I still get all mad and throw the freshly painted fender across the shop like I always do first, and then do it this way?

    Good tip!

I exactly how that anger goes. The worst is trying to find that sweet spot under the fender to balance, then just cant reachup into it, or under the battery tray especially :) And to boot i used some gasket material to go between the fenders and body and i had to get that all lined up properly. My spray gasket material is a bit old, it had no adhesive properties at all :( so i couldnt stick the gasket to the fender.
