Heres a stupid question but I dont know the answer, how much fluid does the Dana 18 take? I think I over filled it but I dont know. I filled it till it ran out the fill hole and on the RTI ramp I had a pretty good leak. So what do you think did I over fill or should I look for a leak elsewere???

As long as it is leaking, you know it has fluid in it. Its kind of a safety feature in my opinion.

I suspect that the vent on top of the TC allowed oil to flow out while you where on the ramp(?) By the way what did you score? Drive it back up the ramp and get out and see where it coming from. us know what you find out.

Well it only leaked on that day on the ramp so I think it will be ok now, I didnt measure the RTI ramp sorry. But I will do it again and post the results for all to see. I know that it went about 12 - 14" higher than it did last time I did it.

what tranny do you have? alot of trannys allow gear oil to flow between the it and the d18. on the ramp, oil could have flowed back into the t-case so much that it ran out the vent.
