85 frame for a 67 body

    is this feasable its a hundred bucks would save me from mocking up steering

    If your talking a 1985 frame it would be a cj7 frame and no it would be way to long to put a 1967 body on. Theres roughly 13" difference in the length and the motor mounts and cross member would be all wrong. not to mention body mounts and a slew of other things.

    If you can't find an early frame the '72-'75 would work much better. The tub bolts on, and the front crossmember needs to be changed and spring mounts have to be moved back. They have a cast saginaw mount. CJ 7 frames would be a nightmare.

    Spring widths and length and mounts are different. Could use the column with saginaw box and a shaft made to length.

    Steering in my CJ-5 came from a '76. Can be done. :)

    Oakes used the crossmember from the '76 in my '71 when he converted the steering.
