A limited slip mechanism in the the front of a 4x4 vehicle causes a push during a turn. It doesn't allow the outside wheel of a turn to move faster than the inside wheel or limits this movement. ie. locked together.

hmm, never noticed a problem with a lock-rite in my front axle. I normally drive around with the hubs locked in 2wd. No adverse effects that I have noticed so far.

Later model Tjs Yjs can have some road manners issues with a locker in the front, but I've never had any problems with mine. I can tell when mine unloads in the rear axle when driving on road it wants to swerve just a bit. In an older jeep with locking hubs you will not have any driveability issues on road, off road it requires just a bit more raduis when turning a tight turn.:hurrican:
