Hello all, was wondering where should I go to order a new windshield for my 1966 CJ-5? Looked at several places on the net, but no glass for this year. Any reccomendations? It is the one piece type windshield.
    Thank You,
    Rob

Rob any good glass shop can cut you one. They are flat.
If you were closer I have a spare.

I did the same with mine a couple of years ago. I think it cost me about 100.00 installed. I supplied the gasket.

Ditto on any local glass shop. They are pretty much the same prices for most all Jeeps. One of my older CJ's was like $90 and my TJ was $110, both installed prices.

I live in the sticks, nearest glass shop I could find in the phone book was down below in Charlevoix. That's about a six hour round trip. I would think there would be some place in Escanaba or Marquette, but I could'nt find em in the book. Any fellow yoopers able to help out? I'll check ebay and see what the cost is. If I can keep this under $100.00 that would be great. I may than be able to spring for new shocks too.

    Thanks, Rob

Windshields are 1/4" laminated safety glass. It shouldn't be that difficult to order. How about a local car dealer or autobody shop?

I'm sure any body shop should be able to get you one. I don't know if price would be higher through them or not though. My g/f is coming to Michigan in a couple of weeks and if I had as many windshields as I do frames, I would send you one with her. No luck there though.
