Okay guys I have the clutch adjusted now to where I can get it into gear and takeoff etc... However heres the new problem: Even with the transmission in neutral something is binding up and not letting it roll freely. I can move under power in 1st and reverse but when I put it in neutral it stops me.

I really don't want to blow my tranny apart testing things out so I really don't know where to begin.

Would tightening the drive gear nut on the transmission output shaft too much cause something like this?

I am not sure exactly what you are saying, but after replacing mine, I was getting some action in neutral I did not like. Turns out the pilot bushing was wearing a bit and took a few weeks to smooth out. Maybe yours is an extreme case of that?

Whatever the problem was cleared itself up when I pulled out of the garage. The input shaft must have been binding slightly on the pilot bushing or something.

Today seems to be easy fix day or something. I'm gonna go home and oil some of my junk up and drive them to see if it fixes 'em

I remember how worried I was with this problem after installing a new clutch, rebuilding my tranny and transfercase, and installing my Warn OD (all at the same time). On top of it all I installed the tranny/tc by myself, and did not want to take anything back off.

    Good for you Joe!

I know what you mean MOP. I pulled the OD, transfer case, and transmission all separately so needless to say I really didn't want to pull it all again.
