    Let's see your original parts!

I was thinking of a great way to get an archive of photos for original parts. If we each put a picture of an original part (doesn't really matter which one), we could get a great collection together. It would be helpful for restorers to know what part is supposed to be there and what it looks like. You should put year and model. Hope this works. :) Lame start, but here are my original '55 CJ5 top clips on the side of the body:

What I do, is I made a folder in my "C" drive called Jeep Stuff, and when I see a photo I want I just right click it, click "save as", put it in Jeep Stuff and give it a name then save it. I have sub folders under Jeep Stuff for heaters, tops, engines, etc. All the cool photos I run across, I just save 'em in my own archives.

That is ideal, but i'm sure it took you a long time. If we could get one thread, we may be providing a good source to those that have not the time to search every post and reply on this site looking for pics that might be the right one. Am I off base here? :? Is this not a good idea? Let me know so we can nip it in the bum if it is not. Thanks, CJ.

Exactly like the one that was in mine, although yours is much nicer! Had a rheostst switch( white knob) clamped to the dash to operate.

Thanks Mike and Adam. Seems like every good idea has already been considered in this day and age! How do we add to that album? CJ

Clay, that is the same exact heater that my '55 had. I know Howard would love that if you would sell it!

I found that aluminum strip that says "Willys" in an old tired Willys truck in the boneyard... I didn't know where it was originally fitted. Now I know :D

Wait until Jim and Ryan request something for the next go round. :)

We (they) are still working on it. Requests for photos are posted in the Announcements section. If you have something you think should be added you can get ahold of Tigershark, willys59cj5, or me to see about getting it added.
