Does anyone know if Wagner Lockheed was the manufacturer of the brake parts for the 70 cj5... I just wanted to check my assumtion that these brake parts I finnally replacing have actually been in there for 35 years... My old MC and the wheel cylinders are all Wagner Lockheed. I poped one of the cylinders open and my eyes did this number... , there was ALOT of crud built up in there... Ah well, If someone with a factory manual or just know off the top of your head could inform me to satisfy my curiousity, that'll be great :)

Yep they were, my 71 had Wagner Lockheed parts and believe it or not I replaced them with the same. Had a friend that worked at the plant, it was bought out by some other company and then bought out by Cooper industries about 13 years ago and then bought out again buy Federal Mogul a few years back. They still had Lockheed parts on hand in 1992 when I bought my Jeep.

Yeah, makes sense, also explains why the wheel cylinders looked like squirels threw up on and in them... ewww

but then again, they did last over 35 years, can't complain about that :D
