I'm looking to find some sort of fuel shutoff vlave that I can plumb (ideally) right into the fitting on the bottom of my fuel tank. Failing that, I'd like to find something that I can plumb into the fuel line near the tank so that I don't have to drain the tank in order to work on the fuel system.

Can anyone point me to a valve that is designed to be used with gasoline? I'm not concerned with being able to use it as an emergency shutdown, only for maintenance & storage purposes.

    Idears fellas?

Steve, my M38 has one plumbed in it. It is right along the framerail adjacent to the steering column. I'll try and get a picture of it tomorrow if you need it. It is simply an inline valve that you twist on and off.

Yeah, Dad's M38 has one of those too. I forgot all about it until you said that. I'll have to see if Walcks etc. can get them...

For what it's worth, my M38-A1 had one also.

I would think you could get one at a good hardware store and plumb it in.

I was just concerned with the seals/packing not disintegrating when exposed to gasoline. Don't need no steenkin' gummy-worms in my fuel system... :D
