i have been having horrible problems getting my clutch to work on my 225 to t18 conversion...i basically have one clutch disc i got from napa long ago that worked, but the springs are broken on it, and i need to get another, i tried another one from napa but it wont work, like the clutch is not disengaging properly, i measured the thickness of the discs and found that the new one is slightly thicker?? ive tried the centerforce clutches too and they did the same thing. i was wondering what kind of clutch you guys are running on with your t18s, where you got them from and what the part numbers are, also i think the pressure plate is stock jeep and the clutch disc is supposed to be from an 80's mustang, is that right??? any particular year?? thanks for your help i need to find a clutch system that will work...

    I'm running a T18 -1B. It was a Jeep T18 from a full-size Cherokee with a long shaft, converted to a short input shaft, with a Ford input IIRC. I run a Centerforce I disc: 1 1/16-10 spline, p/n 381021
The Centerforce pressure plate is part number 360056
    throw out bearing BCA 614018.

You can take these Centerforce numbers to the Centerforce website and determine the application/other pertinent info, then go to NAPA or somewhere similar and get another brand that will work for you. Many guys here are happy with LUK cluth components, search this board for LUK, you should get plenty of hits to read.

ok one more question, i have been researching through centerforce, napa and checkers websites and found that the centerforce clutch your running is from a 84-02 camaro. when lookign up the original jeep pressure plate is says it is a 'flat diaphram' and the camaro pressure plate is a 'raised diaphram.' what is the difference??
