Had a sister/brotherinlaw from Maryland in town over the weekend. They own a new Rubicon they use for running arround their Eastern shore town, so to show them how the other half lives I gave them a beach ride in our '59 cj5. She was timid at first but warmed up to it pretty fast. Windshield down, hat turned arround and a hand over her drink to keep the blowng sand out. She had a great time, I did too but was noticing the transmission noise more and more. Is it getting worse or am I getting paranoid? Or maybe it's getting louder from loss of oil. Eitherway parking over a litter box is getting old. Afterwards I had to attempt a more-abrupt stop, and had to pull off the road, to not bump the car in front of me and thankfully got it stopped a few feet from a palm tree. I've been ignoring the brakes, not ready for that can 'o worms yet. So this morning I watched more of the trans. rebuild video to get me in the "mood" and am thinking about ordering parts.

I here that Herm is the man. Everyone agree with that?

Thanks guys. That's what I wanted to here. Watched some rebuild video last night and this morning. It's very thorough! The shaft/gear/needle bearing sequence deserves a golf clap. I'd never figure that one out.
