2.) there is a big circle hole, looks like where orignal top goes, i mounted the bars, behind the hole cause there looked like they were ment to go there.

do the door openings have to be 90 degere or how do i make the top square on the tub

    thanks josh!

its a 55 cj5. i was thinking that maybe the bars are put on wrong?? there is a stamp that says center pointing down, and foward pointing twards the headlights. and both lables face to the drivers side. but when i go to fold the top down (convertable) it hangs off the back of the tub.

the reason i ask is that there really isnt any material to streach twards the tail lights. and seems to tight.

please help, i have no idea where to look, if possible i would just buy instructions on where to put my first hole, but cannot find any.

    Ok...

    1) Passenger side shot of the strike plate for latch and bow mount.

    2) Inside look at passenger side bow mount.

    Hope this helps...

thanks speedbuggy, but i think i got it.

i started with the rear first, and eyeballed it so that the material was equal on both sides. when i got to the corner of the tub, the top sloped down, and there was too much material left over. DANG:mad: so i was over heating my brain thinking why is there too much material left over, after i had streached the back first then worked forward?? so to cool off, i thought id take a cold shower and think it over. when i took off my pants, the knee part of the pants was conformed to my knee, AND THEN IT HIT ME!! the top was prevously stretched for a roll bar!!! so i adjusted the hoops, and wham, i was right!!! there was just enuff top left over to compinsate for the roll bar. man i was SERIOUSLY about to torch the top with some gas... i dont think i would make it as a mechanic, my thought process is waaay to slow.

so i think when i find a roll bar, i can finish putting on my top.

BTW i ended up mounting the bow hinges behind the big round hole, it looked like it was ment for that place

    time for some whiskey8)
