Will my 15x7 Renegade aluminum slots fit over the disc brakes from a '77-78 Dana 30?
They have 6 bolt caliper brackets, stock calipers and 1.125 wide rotors.
By eye-balling things, I am a bit concerned.
Maybe some grinding required to the casting "bump" on the caliper?

Thanks for any and all input.
Feel free to e-mail if you would like to explain in-depth.

I hope so. IIRC Sparky told me they will when I got mine.

I WAS about 90% sure of myself but now that the caliper bracket and the caliper are mounted, I'm sweating bullets. :?
    Not good.
I'm HOPING that some creative grinding will do the trick.

I had the rotors turned yesterday but don't have them mounted on the old hubs yet (need to press the long studs out/in and install the rotors).
Not sure if I'll have time in the coming days.....family obligations.

So if all this work is for naught, I'd prefer to re-evaluate before going any further.
I've got two big boxes full of new parts for the swap.

Someone out there break it to me.....I can take it.

They fit over 11" brakes, based on that I thought they fit over disk brakes. My KH wheels just lacked this ][ much from fitting over my caliper. :( Rivets hit, the Renegade wheels don't have that funny step and the rivets that the KH 15x8" wheels do...

    The alloys fit BUT.....

I had to grind quite a bit from the top of the caliper (rebuilt AMC calipers, by the way).
Meaning the rectangular-shaped casting chunk as well as taper that grinding down to the lower-most portion of the caliper where it is closest to the rim.
The usual grinding to clear the caliper is required on the knuckle.

LOTS of angle-grinder work but it'll be worth it in the end.
    I don't have much invested, money-wise.
    It's all time basically.

If you decide not to use the Renegade wheels, please let me know. I'm looking for some for the 71 Renegade II I'm restoring.
