Can somebody tell me what distributor this is (see photo)?
It is on my F134 1961 CJ5 that I just bought. The previous owner had it installed recently at a 4wd shop but doesn't know anything about it. The shop is closed this weekend.
    No Vac adv.
It does look like a stock distributer in the FSM I think. Is this a stock one?

What I need is the point gap and where to get points and condensor for replacement.
Hopefully it is a recognizable part.

    Thanks.

All's I know for sure is that there's a type IAD and a type IAY. One has the clips attached to the sides with rivets, the uses screws, but I'm not sure which is which. Also, the notch for indexing the cap is different. The IAY has a small little notch, and the IAD has a big ol' honkin' notch about an inch and a half long.

Mine is an IAD, the model number is 4041. It has the big notch, but it's buried right now and I can't check the clips.

I'm pretty sure it's an aftermarket distributor. You might have to match the points up by taking them out and comparing them, but you should be able to get them at a good parts store. Regular Jeep points should work, I just don't know offhand which ones.
