Does anyone have an idea where I can get good used body parts, I need inner and outer fenders, a radiator support and a tailgate. Please let me know if you or somone you know has parts. Thanks, Also if i'm restoring it should I keep it the original color or change it?

I like the color also.....If I'm not mistaken, I think thats factory and it appears to be in pretty good shape...

Leave it original and give the paint a good going over with a product like Meguiars DACP followed up with a good wax. Bet she would shine up pretty good.

    Like that backup light !!

Pretty much you have t odeal with Ebay, or look on the Jeepster club classifieds. There is a guy names CommandToad on th Jeepster club site nad he has parts a few bullnoses, and has parts. i bought a grill and some other doo ads from him. he may have a front clip. They do make aftermarket tailgates, i forget wich site sells them.

He is talking about detailing it using a cleaner wax. I've been detailing for 14 years i've never heard of it put that way i'm fairly sure that's what he means. Cleaner waxes have detergent in them, less abrasive then say compound and clear coat safe, but strong enough to lightly clean out the "pores" (painted surfaces) from dirt and fallout, acid rain water etching et al. While it wont remove most scratches it will bring up the shine in most cases, I always like to follow that up with quick wax and a carnuba paste wax. That is the best way to protect your investment. I'm sure you know this already, putting a light coat of wax on your wheels will make them easier to keep clean, and also hinders break dust from sticking. If you have any other questions about detailing I'm more then happy to help out. (being the new guy and all)

    Eric,

Check out www.justjeepsters.com for the replacement tailgates. They are a bit spendy, but he seems to make good quality parts. I have his rockers and floor pans in mine.

I expect you have the bump-out for the spare that lays on the floor? The replacement tailgate loks the same to me except for the bump-out. Usually these tailgates rust along the lower edge, and the bump-out may be ok. If so, you should be able to cut out the center of your tailgate and weld it into the new metal.

I think it'll still work, but you won't have the bump-out. Should be fine since you have an outside tire carrier, but it won't be original.

There are a couple of places in CA that have lots of sheet metal: Scotty's in Fontana and J&W in Antelope (spendy AFAIK, but a large inventory). I recall that J&W will ship, not sure about Scotty. Cee Jay posted a list of Phoenix yards in a thread about AZ wrecking yards. Maybe someone from AZ will comment, or you could try calling them.

Tim thanks, I didn't know the paint code. I haven't seen many in that color. I'm sure you guys have. I thought bronze but it's a copper tan.
