Since I'm moving to CO from Ohio the elevation goes from about 1000' to about 7500 where I'm living. I'll be going as high as 12000 also. What kind of adjustments are needed for the elevation gain? Right now I'm planning on trying to find some #49 jets and changing to them just before I start the climb into the mountains. Anything else I should be aware of?

lafester had some info on where to get the jets
he and I both said we were going to get some
    I didn't follow thru.
the only other thing I can think of would be to bump the timing up a few degrees as well

Smaller Jets and a little lift on the float - I go from 6700 to 13K with it set that way with no issues. Just kept timing at stock as well.

Interesting. I always thought that the float level only made a difference in the mixture, ie the same as a fine adjustment of the jet size. Must be something else going on too wrt altitude.

I recall a discussion some years back (not sure if it was here) that higher octane fuel (=slower burning) also helps at altitude.
