Motor stuck

Hello all,
Thanks for the warm welcome. I found out why this Jeep was parked. The motor is stuck. It exibits the signs of the starter drive being jammed in the ring gear, but when I got home from work this afternoon I removed and tested the starter. It is OK. I pulled the plugs, all looks high and dry in the cylinders, the radiator is full of nice clean antifreeze, the oil is full and not milky.

This weekend I am going to get the plow off and maybe pull the nose off to gain access to the motor. I need to look at a book, does this 134 have timing chain or is it a gear to gear set up?

We'll see what's in store for this little guy, stay tuned.

 

An f head should have gears.

 

Maybe it stuck or dropped a valve, I'll pull the valve cover.

 

Dump some Marvel Mystery Oil down the plug holes and let her sit for a couple days. It's probably just stuck from sitting. Keep us posted.

 

x2 on marvel. x2 on letting it sit. be patient with it, you just might save it.
put a sign on it, "Do Not Open 'till XMAS!"
might buy you a few more days of patience 0=)

did you ever get it unstuck? sorry for diggin in the past, but i was lookin for a diff post i was in on and found this one..made me wonder if the MMO worked..=)
