Hey guys!! I think my ACDelco battery is nearing it's service life end and I am considering a new Optima battery. My fater's 1966 Bronco has a blue top Optima that was in it when he bought it a couple of years ago...BUT I think the Yellow top would probably be better for my Jeep. What do you guys think?

I don't have a winch so that's not a problem. I have a stereo and some Hella fog lamps but nothing else really accessories wise. I have a ACDelco 160 amp alternator onboard also.

Your input would be appreciated. Also which Optima model batteries do you use?

    Brian :)

I've been running a red top for a couple of years and like it. I have a winch, but haven't had to use it yet.;) The yellow top is fine, but if you're not going to do heavy winching or something else that will drain your battery, I'd go for a red top.

I run dual Optima red tops with the Painless wiring dual battery kit. I haven't used them much but am really happy with how it all came out.

Red top will be fine with no winch. ;)

As above... no winch, go with the red top.

Got it! Thanks for the input guys. I will probably go with the red top battery as I do not have any plans to add a winch anythime soon.
