Well, today finished the last underhood project on my list of items needing attention..namely replacing the exhaust manifold gasket that had developed a noticeable leak. Luckily no cracks in manifold !!

    In addition...upgrades included:

    HEI distributor

    Rebuilt Carter YF

    Optima Battery

    Fuel Vapor canister

    95 AMP one-wire alternator

Relays/heavier wiring for brighter headlights and alternator output

High-Temp Engine paint is a Dupli-Color rattle can DE-1631 Chrysler Corporation Blue available at Pep-Boys.

BTW, poached eggs take about 10 minutes on the freeway at operating temperature, just to the left of the exhaust manifold and bacon, about two minutes after shutdown, directly on the manifold.

Next trail ride scrambled eggs will most likely be on the menu. If I could just figure out a way to keep the coffee from sloshing around !!!!
