Hey guys, I searched around and haven't found anything like this.
The #3 cylinder of my 304 is missing at idle, but seems to go away at higher rpm's. Compression is good, I changed out the ignition module, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and distributor after problem started, but makes no difference. No signs of water in oil to indicate a blown head gasket, but the jeep bible suggests a blown gasket just between cylinders. I drive it to school daily, so repairs must be completed during a weekend. Any ideas or suggestions that I could explore would be greatly appreciated.

If you had a blown head gasket, that would lower the compression on two cylinders, if it leaks between the cylinders.

A burnt valve would give you a rough idle, though again I'd expect a loss of compression. So will a dirty EGR valve pintle, but that won't be restricted to a single cylinder.

Drain a quart of motor oil, add in a quart of MMO. Sometimes it helps sticking lifters... it did for me.
I substitute a quart now at every oil change.
