OD "clip" placement

    Reinstalled the Warn OD last night on my T90 transmission. After tightening the OD assembly (1/2 drive extension is used to do this), there's a "washer-like" looking piece followed by a "square" looking clip that is installed. I'm not really liking how the clip is fitting (the clip expands "outwards").

    Any ideas?

    Assuming this is the clip? Not sure other than are you sure that there isn't anything blocking the gear from going forward more? can you get it just a little tighter? Maybe the locking clip could be in a better spot. Try rotating it around. I know I moved it all over trying to get it to seat good. Had to crank down with the 1/2" extention a little more so it would seat properly.

    Brian, Yep, thats the clip. It's almost like the clip doesn "expand outward" enough. I can easily "spin it" with a screwdriver. Its seated pretty well (I hope..)

    Now I have to remember what whole the bolt with the nylon washer goes into when installing the rest of the unit. I didn't write it down when I remove it....9 months ago <beating fist against head.>
