I fancy Disc brakes on my 1978 CJ-5.
In UK I'm going to have difficulty sourcing proper parts to convert.
We have the Mahindra CJ-5B version and a common conversion is disc brakes using Suzuki rotors and a simple flat adapter plate to hold caliper.

Anyone tried this on a CJ-5 with Dana 30 ?

No but why not use a D30 from a cj that already has disc brakes.

Simply because I live in UK where such parts are very rare and expensive.
Remember Jeeps weren't sold in any numbers until late 80's over here and most CJ-5 / CJ-7 will have been personal imports or left behind by servicemen when returning to States.
