I've been gathering pieces parts to put the factory seats back in my Jeep. I had modified the original brackets to fit the Mazda buckets. I *think* there was a spacer (1 1/2" or so) under the two rear bolts on the driver side seat bracket. I have two spacers that I removed years ago. Now, I bought some seat brackets off ebay, and the driver side bracket looks like there were 4 spacers, between the 4 bolts that hold the seat to the bracket... Anyone have a pic?
    Clear as mud?
    TIA

this is the only book pic I have
    for 71 and prior
this would be the very late set-up
72 and 73 used this also
    looks like 4 were used
only see 2 in the pic
    but the listing says 4
7/8" or 1" OD if that matters

Thanks Jim. That pic looks like what I had/ have, except mine didn't have adjustable sliders.... 'course, my Jeep had been taken apart before I bought it, and may not have been properly reassembled....
Any chance the adjustable seat was an option?

Upon further review, the seat bracket was bolted right to the bottom of the seat, no spacers. There was a spacer between the bracket and the floor, on both rear bolts. I guess I'll put it together that way, and see how it is.. Thanks Jim!!

Is there a known source for the various brackets?

Patrick, I'd say that you either had 4 spacers or no spacers. The length of the spacers could be different...ie...you could just stack up some washers and use long bolts if you wanted to. With the sliders, it looks to me like the front of the seat had a down bar which raised the front of the seat up..to match the spacer in the rear.

I didn't have the spacers on mine either, and the pass side seat sat higher than the drivers side. I'd think adding the spacers and raising the seat up a bit, would give you more leg room, but in the same...it'd give you less room between the wheel and your knees.

I've got the 4 spacers on my drivers seat. I'm contemplating taking them out because the wheel is so close to my legs. But that might be because the glass body is sagging so much...

Anyways, not sure if the pass side has the spacers or not on mine, but I know the drivers does.

oh, the seat I took off the bracket I sent to you didn't have any spacers. The bracket was bolted right to the seat.
