I'm putting bigger tires on my jeep with manual steering. For now I guess I'll be getting a good workout while driving, but in the future, I'd like to add power steering. Are power steering systems from later cj5's adaptable to older cj5's? I've also seen some Rock Ram kits installed, but none for early cj5's. Has anyone done something like this before?

I definitely will, I haven't made any decisions about it yet. I like what kiowamtp has shown me, it looks like a good solution. I've also heard great things about the Rock Ram kits for anything with tires 33" and up, which is what I'm looking to run.
