brake & clutch pedal bushings

    Seems like we talked about this before, but where can you buy a bushing kit for the pedals? I need to tighten some up and I thought you could buy replacement bushings. Any ideas?

    IIRC the CJ's don't have bushings in the pedals, but you can buy the kit with the replacement shaft from the places like Walck's and Krage I believe. The wagons and trucks do have bushings in the pedals, I got mine from Walck's.

    I replaced the shaft in mine with an Omix piece. And I do mean piece. There is more play in the pedals now than with the old worn shaft.... YMMV...

    I believe you can also install a mount from an M38A1 Military Jeep and gain the bushing option.

    Yup. You'll have to look a little, but these are still available from military vehicle parts places. The M-38A1 mount is a cast unit with bronze bushings and a zerk fitting. Very beefy.
