    That's certainly a good way to fine tune it. You'll start noticing a lot more spatter first and you'll hear a change in the sound of the weld.:v6:

    Yeah, but I wouldn't back it down too far... Try 15 for a no wind/ breeze situation. It's a cover gas, to shield the weld keeping outside oxygen out.....

    I'm usually welding in the garage, so the only wind source is me...;)

    And just how would I know when I'm at 15? Isn't that what the second gauge would tell me?

    Oh, yeah..:oops: You don't have a flow gauge, do you... Ah, just back it down till the welds turn to crap, and then start turning it back up until you get nice clean welds.....:D
