You know I really hate to beat a dead dog like this after all the recent threads. I have searched around and maybe found a vender on eBay that sells decent seatcovers. Do any of you guys know of a source for vinyl lowback seatcovers for a '74 CJ5 ?
I really don't want race type buckets or highback buckets replacements. I like the OEM lowbacks. I don't want to park it for reupholstering, I like driving ittoo much.
Any ideas at all would help.

I just ordered the Bestop lowback covers for my '67. I'll let you know how they are; I've heard nothing but good about them...

I searched and searched and searched...there is no source that I could find. Recover the existing seats with a good quality vinyl. Local shop here will recover for $200 each. Best price out of 4 shops. If you work it out with the trim shop, you can drop them off in the AM & pick them up in the PM, worst case you loose 1 day.

I bought some cheap seat covers from Walmart. They were the type made for two piece bucket seats (Back support, and headrest). I then got a friend to sow up the hole in the top that was there to let the headrest through. They fit the factory low back seats perfectly.

I got some Army surplus canvas tent material and my mom is sewing a set of olive-drab canvas seat covers. She has an embroidery machine and she embroidered "Jeep" on the seatbacks in gold thread, very bling-bling. I know this is worthless without pics, but I don't have any and can't take any so don't ask...
