    Hello Jeepsters,
    I have 4 BF Goodrich Radial Mud-Terrain T/A 31x10.50 R15 tires on my cj5.
Can anyone tell me the pressure I have to get in the tires front and rear, on road and offroad.

Best to find out for yourself.

Get some chalk, and draw some chalk lines across your tires. Now go out and drive around some, making sure to get a good "sample" of turns, etc.

Now see where the chalk remains, and adjust tire pressure accordingly (less if chalk remains in the center, more if chalk remains on the outer edges).

You want the pressure that wears the chalk off evenly - and it will likely be different front and rear.

It'll likely be lower all around than you expect - big tires plus lightweight Jeep means not much air required to get even tire wear.

What Mike said.... I run 32X11.50's, and run about 20 in the rear and 23-24 in the front. I *usually* don't air down off road, but when I do, I drop to 10 PSI or so....
When I load the Jeep up with several days worth of camping gear, I'll bump the tires up to 26 or so if I have some highway miles to travel..

I'm running BFG 33x12.5x15's on 8" wheels and run 16psi on the street (around town) -
That is what gave me an "even" footprint.

Another alternative is to weigh your jeep on a scale at the local gravel pit or landfill station, if you don’t know the guy it will cost you about $5. Once you know the weight of your jeep with fuel/accessories call up the company of which brand tire you have they will have a tire air pressure chart and will tell you what they recommend for on road use.

While you’re at the scale weighing both axles for correct tire pressure take the time to weigh the front and rear separately so that you may get a better idea how well balanced your jeep is.

Make sure you have the tire company send you a copy of the tire pressure chart.
