installing adjustable proportion valve

    I just got my adjustable proportioning valve from jcwhitney for my 75 cj5 today and there's only an in and an out so im confused on how to put this thing on. Any one done one?? How do I do it??

    I installed one for my rear drums when I put discs on the front. You only (normaly) use it for the rears. You plumb it inline in the main line going to the rear brakes. As it turned out, I didn't need to adjust it from the wide open position. Apparently the fact that I'm running 10" drums and they have so little stopping power, they proportioned themselves. LOL You really should only have to dial it down if your rears are locking up when you hit the binders
