This is a King-Seely speedo used on 5s up to serial #49248 (which I beleive would be early '57) when Willys started using Stewart Warner units. These were also used on 3Bs as well.

Note that according to the parts manual they started the S-W units at serial #49247. This would appear to indicate that there are two super-rare jeeps out there somewheres that had both speedos installed :).

The K-S units were only available with 6 volt guages which is probably why Willys started using the S-W speedo as it could be used for either 6 or 12 volts which became an option around this time.

I've got one of these on Tonka, IMHO it's way cooler than the boring all-black ones.

by the way this was an idea i was thinking of... post random parts off random jeep/others, and make a game outta it, keep score and what not, plus it would fun, and learn alot about the back ground of jeeps... chime in and let sponsers know if this would be a good idea!:)
