I'm newly registered here, but have been reading posts for quite some time now and absorbing information. Great site by the way.

Anyway,to make a long story short, my overdrive did not seem to want to work right so I pulled it out for a inspection. I've found that the piece that is located between the syncro rings was broken off at one end, as well as one syncro ring was broken.(sorry, but I am still learning how to post pictures)

Now, I didn't get too worried as I know there are some parts still to be found if you look hard enough, but when I started cleaning all the sludge off the case I found out what I have is not a Warn, its a Husky overdrive!

I have a exploded diagram of the warn, and this unit sure looks identical to it. There had to be some patent infringement going on.

Anyway, would anybody know if the parts are interchangable from the warn to the husky? If not would anybody know of a place I can get parts for the husky? Thanks

As patrick said, give Herm a call. The barrell gear is the most expensive piece of the OD, so if it's in good shape the rest shouldn't be too expensive.

See this link for OD history and some descriptions of differences:

Actually, from what the unit looks like inside it could not have many miles on it. No signs of wear on anything. Guess this is what happens when U let someone else drive it. Only thing I can figure is that it must have been used under load.

thanks for the info, I will be giving herm a call for sure.
