Brought Pete home Friday. Those of you that recognize my avatar will know where the name comes from. Will be an OSU theme to the build. Not going overly austentatious but it will be recognizable. Worked on it all weekend. Seems the last time I saw it on the road (5 yrs ago) was pretty close to the last time it was on the road. Its been parked out back of my Grandparent's house ever since. No cancer but all horizontal surfaces are completely rusted and the lower part of the w/s housing is trashed. Except for the w/s housing everything is just going to be elbow grease and sore backs. Interior was pretty clean, just some pitting on the floor pans in front of the seats. Same pitting where the hardtop was mounted and a bunch of bolt holes to weld up. The engine is in good shape, just extremely dirty and apparently the cats tore up the heater duct(the one from the scoop to the box). It has a bad seal on the left front hub, all the bearings and seals are getting replaced anyway.
So anyway, I'm taking pictures(35 mm camera so I have to develop before I can post) and happily going about my way. The hardtop is off. Its an OEM jeep hardtop for '70 CJ5(made by the orrville group I think). Like everything else its surface rusted bad, no cancer though and all the glass is good. Don't know what to ask for it yet any offers will be considered (PM me).
Know for a question: Where could I find a w/s housing thats ducted for defrosters? I'll search on my own but I'd sure love some help.:v6:

All windshields should have holes for defrost. Perhaps place a WTB ad for one w/out glass; maybe someone's got one lying around.

I'd like to see pics of the hardtop...Orrville OH is just down the street from me. :) FYI Wallyworld, Walgreens, etc. often have cheapo digicams for ~$20. Comes w/ upload software. Just an idea.

Hippo the top will be on the pictures when I post them, probably in a day or two. Currently I'll be sticking with the 35 mm, I just get a cd when I develop them. Its too good and I shoot wildlife pictures with it. Will be buying a high end digital soon (when the camera price and the amount I'm willing to pay meet in the middle).:v6:
