I plan to change the seals on my steering knuckles tomorrow. They are currently RTVed and I want to try to get the felt seals back on them.

I have looked at the lube order and it calls for GL III SAE 140. All I can find around here is a 75/140. Will that work or do I need to look harder?:?

I'd politely suggest searching please. Knuckle pudding among other terms.

I put 80/140 in mine and they haven't leaked yet. But I did a real fine job on the knuckles. Takes a lot of skill you know!

Knuckle pudding is a blend of gear oil and grease, about 50/50, so that the consistency is that of "pudding". Some guys have heated the mix for better consistency/easier mixing, then allowing it to cool before installing in the knuckles.
