Identifying T98

    Can I tell what one came out of by the casting number?? Also what length input shaft should I be looking for to go behind the L head?? I tried searching but didnt have too much luck. Also looking on Novaks site it didnt see a rebuild kit listed. Do they offer one??

    this would be the tag number for T-98 F4: AS50-T98A
    here's the T18 tag number for V6: AS9-T18C
    that's assuming the tag is still there, on the top cover bolt
    others will have to answer the shaft length question

    The T-98 never came stock behind the L-4, only the F-4.

    Shouldn't matter from what all I've read...Plus I found one for 25 bucks :twisted: Havnt seen it yet but hopefully it will be the correct one.

    You gotta be kidding! Is it complete?

    I think that beats my $250 winch.

    BTW: I didn't know the F4 bellhousing was the same as the L4...

    I believe it's complete...the guy said his dad pulled it about 10yrs ago and it been in the garage since.

    According to the link that John posted above it should be the correct one if it came from a F4. Im really hoping it did, but I have gut feeling it came out of something else. Oh yeah its in the same town as the guy thats just giving me all the scout stuff.

    Hey, I'm looking for parts for my T98. If you don't put it in, let me know. I just had mine rebuilt with everything but the 4th gear. Unfortunately the 4th gear was the problem...
