Did some quick searching for some replacement shackles for the 2a. And couldnt really find anything. Looking for some that add a little lift but no more than an inch. All the confer stuff I could find was for 55 and later...

What's the diff between the flatties and the ECJs? I'm running cheapie lift shackles on my '2a and they bolted up just fine. Only gripe I had was that they're not greasable...

Are yours for an ECJ application?

Yup. Got them from KRAGE IIRC. They're a no-nonsense setup with a square tube in between the plates. I added poly bushings, and greased them well when I installed them.

I used the Con- Ferr shackels on my flatty
kit #'s J-2114, J-2115 J-2116 will work depending on how much lift
you do have to install the early 5 rubber/steel or poly bushings in place of the threaded bushings
some minor reaming of the frame hanger hole may be necc
    I installed non greaseable FYI

    you must purchase bushings seperately

Yup, that's what I did. I had a heckuva time getting the the polyurethane replacement bushings into the spring eyes until I realized that it was much, much easier to pop the inner sleeves out and THEN slip the poly bushings into the springs. After that, the inner sleeves slid back into the bushings fairly easily, and it all bolted up just fine.

Many aftermarket companies no longer list flattie shackles and springs as the demand has dropped off. They focus only list 55 and above which do fit 2A's but they don't want to use up valuable print space or show it as a crossover application (for some reason)

I like the Confers on mine but there are some nice "similar" versions that should do the job vs. making them at home.
