Overdrive Installation

    Any tips on getting the main drive gear off my Dana 18? PTO Cover is off. Castellated Nut is off and loose but won't come off the shaft.

    Try putting the tranny & transfercase in gear and then rocking one of the driveshaft yokes back & forth while you pull on the drive gear. Sometimes that will break things loose.

    There any visible damamge in there?

    Nope. All rebuilt. That did the trick. More to come tommorrow.

    carry the gear, washer, nut and cover with you at all times.
