I'm looking at getting a cage made and was wondering what the avg. price was. Nothing as extravagant as this one but one that consists of more than a couple of hoops and spreader bars. The seats will be tied into it. Along with some variuos OH S*IT bars and handles.

Is there anything that you especially like about your cage or dislike about your cage that you would change if you had a chance? Not planning on running a soft or hard top so clearence wont be a prob.

Mike did that include the cost of the seatbelts (dindt you use TJ 3pt belts?) and painting the cage. I tried looking on your site for the blog about it but couldnt find it  Do have a link to it handy..

Seat belts were another $120 off eBay. The fabricator "painted" it, but missed alot.

I have a feeling mines gonna cost just a weee bit more than that   But at least it will be exactly the way I want it. Called and got an estimate of around the 700 mark depending on the final design. That is with me painting it though. Gotta noodle it a little more before I say go for it...

Good deal! Anyone around here is at least 3x as much. If I could find someone who could do one that cheap, I'd reconsider buying a bender.

I used my exsiting rollbar and bought a front cage kit for a CJ7 and cut it down to fit, (holesaws and grinder). It was about $125.00 for the kit. I then spent another $75.00 to have some additional spreader bars and connecters bent up. I had some square tube stock around I used for my seat crossbars. I welded it myself, but had it checked by a certified welder. All said I have about $250.00 plus my time. I was quoted a complete new cage could be done for about $800.00, but that was about 1 1/2 years ago.
