Are they different from any other 50's-60's CJ? Mine have a flat "shelf" on the bottom side so the holes are not completely round. I have never really looked at any other CJ lights, so I'm not sure whats normal and whats not. Does anyone happen to know the dimensions?

The holes are somewhat different, though I can't remember exactly how. I'm going to get some work done on my Jeep in the next day or so. I should be able to get some pics then if you like. I don't know which lights you're planning to use, but the A1 grille has an additional "support" inside the grille for the marker lights. Again, I don't remember exactly how but I do have a CJ and an A1 grille sitting side by side in my shop. Unless someone else gets to it first, I'll be happy to take a couple pictures for you.

That is exactly what mine looks like. I'm just having troubles getting the right kind of running/turnsignal lights. I'm not sure what sytle of lights will fit in the M38-a1 holes and if it needs dual element or not. I'd be happy with the running lights on when the headlamps are on and then just flash when using the turn signal. Been scouring around looking for a wiring diagram.

Those inexpensive bullet lights on mine just come on when switch is in parklight position. My other M38A1 that I sold earlier this year had to have blinkers so I just put a bulb holder in the same type light that would take a dual filiment bulb and have blinkers. I did this when I took the blackout lights off. I hope to eventually put 12 volt sockets in those blackout housings and reuse them....someday.

Do you guys know, does the wire comming off the brake light switch goto the turn signal, then 2 wires from the signal head off to the rear lights? Am I understanding that correctly? Wish I knew which color was supposed to go where...
