    I really like the look of the MB /2a/3a speedometers, and it just so happens that it matches my recently purchased gauges. Does this speedometer use the same cable as the 5? And will the MB gauge display the correct speed in my 5?

    yes
    yes, it will display the same as the speedo before
    the driven gear in the transfer case controls the ratio
    (along with the axle ratios and tire height as well)
