headlight switch

    ok i just got my new headlight switch in from napa, but it looks nothing like my original. it has 6 terminals and looks like this: (was wondering if any of you guys could tell me which terminal is which.. lol)

    Yeah I figured that, but out of AutoZone, Advance Auto, and NAPA this is the only thing they had. Will it work with my application?

    You would have to find wiring diagram for later style CJ and convert it....
    I just ordered one from Krage that looks like the middle one for my 68...[​IMG]

    Oh yes it'll work 4U. Figuring out which terminal is which? That's a fun process of elimination during a bench test. Not difficult at all, and is actually like opening presents when you discover what each one is for. :)

    The orig. ones had a circuit breaker on the back...sorta looks like an abdomen on a bug.

    You'll be just fine. :beer:

    someone else on here had the same question a while back, maybe they'll chime in... it looks exactly like my cherokee switches and should have some clues as to the pinouts (B,G,I, etc..)

    If you can't find it here, contact John Strenk over at JU on the CJ board. He usually has these diagrams available to post.
    Search the CJ forum there, seems I saw a switch pic recently, with labeled connections.
